I wrote this for Linux Journal — but it’s something that I’m pretty passionate about, so I’m reposting here:
There are two kinds of Linux people in the world, those that will help people fix their Windows spyware problems, and those that will not. I land squarely in the former camp, and I think that it’s important for us all to consider doing the same.
I think a lot of IT folks, even ones with good hearts forget the ideas your talking about sometimes.
Dang it Shawn. I bet that when you’re asked how to do something, you never look at the person asking, shake your head, and mutter “RTFM”, do you?

Btw, I mean that in a good way. I gave my once and future SysAdmin an RTFM bumper sticker, and he adored it. Now he just reminds how I run an inferior OS, and I genuflect before his mighty superiority.
